Think Life of Pi but it was a plane crash instead of the ship drowning. The employees have crash-landed in the middle of the ocean and they have a limited amount of time and survive until they are rescued. They need to make do with whatever resources they have. Would your team be able to survive in one piece before rescue arrives? Or will you not make it out alive?

How Survive At Sea adds value to team?
Prioritization
The employees have to figure out what’s most vital important at a particular time. This helps them in figuring out which tasks are more important than the others. There are several things that need to be done and the employees need to figure out which need to be done before all others. At the workplace, the employees would be able to apply this as they would then be able to see the tasks that need to be done first.
Resource Management
The employees need to figure out they have to make do with the current resources and possibly find any new resources until the rescue arrives. It can get difficult with the members having to survive with perishable resources. At the office, it often happens that the members will have to do the projects with a limited amount of resources. This activity really guides the members in understanding what steps should be taken and how they can do the project successfully even when they don’t have enough means to do it. Along with that, it will also help them in understanding how all resources are valuable and that none shall be wasted.
Critical Thinking
The team members need to figure out how to adapt in a situation completely foreign to them. The employees would have not likely been in a similar situation where they are trapped in a raft and have to work out strategies to stay alive until the rescue comes. Without critical and analytical thinking at work, the quality of the product is going to be drab and monotonous. This activity helps in making the members think more open-mindedly and analytically about their situations and the projects.
Teamwork
This activity involves a lot of teamwork, it would be unsuccessful without it. If the members fail to co-operate and do as they wish, they might not be able to hypothetically survive. This is the same in the office. The team members need to work together and co-operate. Sometimes some of the members have to compromise. This activity helps at the office exactly in that. It helps the employees to understand and perform teamwork best.
Collaboration
The team members need to work together in a way where everyone is involved and everyone has an equal role. To brainstorm, discuss and improvise is of utmost importance in a remote area like this. This activity’s collaboration benefits will reflect in work where the members resume a predicted position and work in a natural and fluent manner as they know where they all fit.
