Premium noise-cancelling headphones — the tech gift people remember, and the one most likely to break

Fails loudly — in front of everyone, with your logo on it.

Why tech gifting is different

Tech is the gift people talk about, and the one most likely to break

Ask an engineer in Whitefield what their last three corporate gifts were. They will remember the earbuds. They will not remember the notebook, the hamper or the bottle.

That is the case for tech gifting, and it is a strong one. It is also why the category punishes a bad decision harder than any other. A notebook that is not great is a notebook. A pair of earbuds that dies in six weeks is a story your company is attached to, told at a standup, to people you are trying to retain.

Cheap electronics do not fail invisibly. They fail loudly, in front of everyone, with your logo on them.

So the useful conversation is not which gadget. It is which gadget at which price, from a source you can name, with someone accountable when eight of the five hundred arrive dead.

What to gift, by band

Five budget bands, and what lands versus what to steer clear of at each.

Budget per headWhat actually worksWhat to avoid at this price
₹500 to ₹1,000Cable organisers, phone stands, webcam covers, mousepads, USB hubsEarbuds. There is no honest ₹800 TWS
₹1,000 to ₹2,000Wireless charging pads, 10,000mAh power banks, laptop stands, wired earphonesBluetooth speakers, smartwatches
₹2,000 to ₹4,000TWS earbuds from a real brand, compact Bluetooth speakers, keyboard and mouse combosAnything unbranded claiming flagship specs
₹4,000 to ₹8,000Over-ear headphones, mechanical keyboards, docking stations, ring light and mic kitsSmartwatches, which are personal and rarely land
₹8,000 to ₹15,000Noise-cancelling headphones, premium docks, monitor arms with a chair voucherAnything the recipient already owns a better version of

If the budget does not reach the good version, gift something else. A ₹900 cable organiser people use daily beats ₹900 earbuds in a drawer by March.

The gifts that keep working

The items that earn their place on a desk. Scroll across.

A wireless charging pad with a phone resting on it

Wireless charging pads

Nearly universal, nothing to configure, and they live on a desk permanently. The safest high-volume tech gift there is.

A portable power bank for charging devices on the go

Power banks

Check the actual capacity rather than the printed one, and check the output wattage. A 10,000mAh bank that charges at 10W is a slow, heavy disappointment.

USB hubs and cables organised across a desk

Cable organisers, stands, hubs

The low band’s real winners. Unglamorous, used every day, impossible to get wrong.

True wireless earbuds in a charging case

TWS earbuds

The most wanted item in the category and the most abused. Below about ₹2,000 the battery and the microphone are where the cost was removed, and the microphone is what matters for people in six calls a day.

A laptop seated in a docking station on a desk

Laptop stands and docks

Bangalore’s hybrid teams live on these. A dock that turns a home desk into a workstation is a gift with an obvious daily use.

A USB desktop microphone for calls and recording

Ring light and mic kits

For teams who present, sell or record. Narrow, but it lands hard with the right recipients.

A pair of premium over-ear headphones

Over-ear and noise-cancelling headphones

Premium band, client gifting and senior milestones. High impact, high price, and the one item where brand recognition genuinely helps.

A wood-cased audio device — a natural shell around conventional electronics

Bamboo-cased chargers and speakers

The bamboo is a shell around conventional electronics. A good gift, not a green gift.

The honest version is on our eco-friendly gifts page

Branding electronics without making them look cheap

Most electronics carry a manufacturer’s brand already, which means your logo is the second one on the object. That changes the rules.

The failure mode

A large logo across the lid of a co-branded earbuds case. The recipient reads it as merchandise rather than a gift, and it is the reason people quietly swap corporate earbuds for their own.

Laser engraving

On metal and hard plastic surfaces. Permanent, subtle, no ink. The right default for chargers, power banks and stands.

UV printing

For colour, on flat plastic. Better than pad printing, still an applied layer that can wear at the edges over years.

Packaging over product

Often the better call. A branded sleeve, a custom insert, a card in the box. The recipient sees your brand at the moment of opening, and afterwards uses a clean object rather than an advertisement.

Size, placement and finish all come to you on a physical sample before the run. Engraving cannot be undone, which makes sampling non-negotiable in this category.

Electronics warranty and repair

Ask any tech gifting supplier three questions before you buy:

  • What is the DOA replacement policy and for how many days?
  • Who does the recipient contact when a unit fails in month four, you or the manufacturer?
  • Is the warranty the manufacturer’s standard warranty, and is it valid for a gifted unit with no individual invoice?
The hard truth

The part nobody puts on their website: warranty and dead units

Order 500 electronic items and some will arrive dead. That is not a vendor problem, it is a physics problem, and it happens to every batch in every category of electronics ever manufactured.

What separates vendors is what happens next.

That last one catches people out. A manufacturer warranty usually needs proof of purchase. If 500 units were bought on one invoice by your company, the employee at a service centre in Indiranagar has nothing to show. Sort out who holds that document and how a claim gets raised before the first unit fails, not after.

We handle DOA replacement on what we supply and tell you plainly which items carry a manufacturer warranty you can actually invoke and which do not. Unbranded stock, whatever the listing claims, generally does not.

Due Diligence

Compliance and sourcing, since procurement will ask

Quality control and compliance checking for electronics

BIS Registered

Verified sourcing

Electronics sold in India fall under BIS registration requirements for several categories, including power banks and many audio products, under the Compulsory Registration Scheme. Ask your vendor for the registration number for each item rather than a general assurance. It is a document, so either it exists or it does not.

Also worth asking for:

  • The actual manufacturer, not just the importer.
  • The charging standard and connector type, because a pile of micro-USB cables in 2026 is a gift with an expiry date.
  • Country of origin, which some procurement policies now require on paper.

We supply what we hold and say where we do not. If a line cannot show registration, we will not quote it into an enterprise order.

How the Trebound Gifting Process Works

01

Brief us

Headcount, budget per head, occasion, branding requirement.

02

We quote

Options with the manufacturer, spec and registration status named, within 24 hours.

03

You sample

A physical unit, branded as it will ship. You see the engraving and you charge the thing.

04

We brand and pack

In-house branding. Laser engraving, UV printing, or branded packaging around a clean product.

05

We deliver

Doorstep, including individual home addresses for hybrid teams.

One invoice, and a named contact for failures. GST-compliant, matching the approved quote. Runs go from 10 units to 10,000. Tech stock moves fast, so a quote is valid for a stated window rather than indefinitely, and Diwali pricing hardens from September.

The hard truth

The four honest limits of tech gifting

It dates.

A gift that was impressive in 2024 is landfill-adjacent by 2027. Nothing else in gifting depreciates like this.

It is the weakest sustainability story you have.

There is no genuinely green version of a power bank. If you have an ESG mandate to satisfy, satisfy it in another category rather than with a bamboo shell.

Personal taste intrudes.

Audio in particular. People have opinions and existing gear. This is why charging and desk accessories outperform earbuds on satisfaction at scale, despite being wanted less.

Price and quality are tightly coupled here.

In most gifting categories a smart buyer finds value. In electronics, the cheap version is cheap for reasons you will discover in month three.

FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know before booking.

A cable organiser, phone stand or webcam cover, not earbuds. Under ₹1,000 the good version of an audio product does not exist, and the bad version fails publicly with your logo on it. Spend the same money on something small that gets used daily.

At roughly ₹2,000 and up, yes, and they are the most wanted item in the category. Below that, the battery and the microphone are where the cost was cut, and the microphone is what your recipients need for six calls a day.

Yes. Laser engraving for metal and hard plastic, UV printing for colour on flat surfaces. Often the better answer is branding the packaging instead, so the recipient opens your brand and then uses a clean object rather than a piece of merchandise.

Some will; that is true of every electronics batch. We handle DOA replacement on what we supply within a stated window. Ask any vendor for that policy in writing, along with who the recipient contacts if a unit fails in month four.

It depends on the manufacturer and on proof of purchase. With 500 units on one company invoice, an employee at a service centre has nothing to show. Agree who holds the invoice and how a claim is raised before the first failure, not after.

We ask for it and we will pass you the registration number for what we quote. Several electronics categories, including power banks and many audio products, fall under the Compulsory Registration Scheme. If a line cannot show registration, we will not quote it into an enterprise order.

Not meaningfully. The bamboo is a shell around conventional electronics. They are good gifts and we will supply them, but they should not sit in a line your ESG team has to defend. Our eco-friendly gifts pillar covers what actually holds up.

From 10 units. Engraving setup is a one-time cost, so small runs carry a higher per-unit price. Above 100 units the economics settle and bulk pricing bands start to matter.
