Teams are required to build a flawless ‘Kontiki’ boat with given supplies, which will be tested with an old-fashioned boat race.
Teams will be given all the necessary items for the challenge along with blueprints and safety instructions. After the teams have built the boat, facilitators from Trebound will rate these as per design, decor, cohesiveness and functionality. Every team will have at least one member ride in the boat to complete the race. Safety measures including life jackets and rescue plans have been put in place to ensure complete safety at all times.
Teams will be required to construct a functional boat from supplies given by Trebound. They will be compelled to be creative in its optimal utilisation.
This activity will be akin to creating and selling a product. Leaders or Captains will be have a simulated environment where they can understand, analyse and learn about the nuances of leadership
Being a competitive activity, teams will be tasked with building boats that help them win the race. This will require each of them to interact and bond with their team members, helping them understand each other better
This activity cannot be completed without effective communication. By the end of the activity, teams will be able to understand where there were gaps in communication and how these impacted the final result
Each team will have to construct the boat within the resources allocated to them. This will help them enhance their resource management skills, as they will not have the liberty to get any more than what they have already been given
Conflicts are part of every group activity. This activity will help employees manage conflicts constructively such that they adopt only the best way forward and work towards a better solution.
As Trebound facilitators will evaluate the quality of the boats as per specifications listed, employees will be given invaluable learning about the need for quality and uncompromised adherence to the same.
